30th Anniversary Games Carnival
One of the first major events to celebrate our school’s 30th Anniversary is the Carnival. This event, organised by the PE Department, involved a whole-school approach as there was mass participation involving Teaching and non-Teaching staff, all students, Parent Support Group (PSG) and parents of P1 and P2 students. All gathered together on 9th March 2018 for a day of fun and excitement.
The theme for our 30th Anniversary Celebration is “Our Past - A Present for the Future.”
The Carnival kicked off at 8.30am with every student from P1 to P6 being issued with a white game card that required them to complete 10 stations that were allocated for their level. Upon completion of the 10 stamps, students were given a specially-made limited-edition NBPS 30th Anniversary key chain. Thereafter, they were given a blue then followed by a pink card and were allowed to go to any 10 stations across all levels to exchange for another souvenir.
The teachers were also allocated a stall to look after and to issue the stamp when the students completed the task at the station. There were also other attractions such as cotton candy and balloon stations available for the students to purchase. One of the highlights was definitely the bouncy sandcastle.
The success of the entire event was coupled with wonderful weather and enthusiastic participation from every one involved. It was a great way to end Term 1 leading up to more upcoming events to celebrate our school’s 30th anniversary!
