ICT & Student Development

Philosophy

In our commitment to delivering a holistic curriculum, Naval Base Primary leverages on ICT to enhance our teaching-learning programmes. It is our belief that ICT Enhances Learning.

ICT Enhances Learning

ICT is integrated into our curriculum; be it the learning of languages, mathematics of science, our students will have lessons infused with ICT. We aim to make use of the interactive and collaborative nature of ICT to enhance the learning of our students. Each individual student has an  MConline portal account to access multimedia educational resources which facilitates self-directed E-learning.

Cyberwellness

Underpinning all ICT-enhanced programmes are the values of Cyberwellness. In our current digital age, our children need to acquire the skills of discernment when dealing with the internet and media. We introduce to our students themes related to Cyberwellness during assembly and our students further explore and discuss these themes during Form Teacher Guidance Periods (FTGP). We also have a leadership programme where we select Cyberwellness Ambassadors from class IT monitors. Collaboration with Aesthetics department to educate students through interesting skit. Cyberwellness Ambassadors have the opportunity to discuss and learn Cyberwellness in platforms outside of school and they have opportunities to initiate student programmes within NBPS.
