About the Dance Club
NBPS Dance Club members nurture their passion for dance through their CCA. Through dance, they learn about the different forms and techniques through the various genre of modern and contemporary dance. Our dancers explore dance genres such as jazz, contemporary, hip hop etc. Through their CCA, our students learn values such as self-discipline and perseverance do their best to develop their talent in Dance.
Our Dancers get the chance to perform and hone their talent during school-based performances such as Chinese New Year concert, Racial Harmony Day, National Day, Navalite Day as well as NBPS Speech Day annually.
Our Dancers put into practice what they have learnt from their dance sessions in school and are able to shine in the limelight when they get on stage.

The Dance Club members also participated in Dance Exchange Programme with schools with similar CCA interest. In 2015, we collaborated with Raffles’ Girls Primary School Dance Club and in 2017, with Anchor Green Primary School.
This effort is aimed at having the dancers explore the various dance techniques and form with their peers from other schools. They get to learn from one another and work on improving their dance techniques. At the end of the session, they get to perform for one another and learn to appreciate each other’s strengths.
Dance Club members participate in the Singapore Youth Festival (SYF) Arts Presentation (International Dance) biennial. In 2016, the Dance Club attained the Certificate of Distinction for their performance entitled “Builders’ Resolution”. In this dance, the dancers danced to the theme of teamwork and hard work in order to achieve a common goal.
Following this event, the Dance club performed at the Youth Extravaganza 2016 at the Open Stage at the Esplanade. The dancers showed grit and resilience during their training as they commit to create the best performance for the SYF.
